David Bronstein and Efim Geller were two fascinating players of the chess society from the Soviet era. Despite neither of them becoming World Champion, both of them were among the world's top 10 players for many years.

In this position, Bronstein played the incredible Qg6!!, threatening checkmate on g7. If the pawn takes the queen, the 7th rank for the white rook is open to give a check on g7. After that, no matter where the black king moves, White checkmates with his knight on either square by playing Nxg6#
